The People Behind the Company

Lior Avitan, CEO & Co-Founder

Lior has almost two decades of experience in management of multi-million-dollar, multi-disciplinary technology projects at Elbit Systems. Recognizing the issues jobsites face in relation to cranes and complex operations, he saw the potential for Elbit technology to bring value to this market – and so the idea for UltraWis was born, with Lior at the helm from the very start.

Erez Gernitzky, CTO & Co-Founder

Erez brings to his role of Chief Technical Officer almost two decades of experience working in hardware and software R&D at Elbit Systems, where his specific focus was on imagery processing and 3D modelling algorithms. Having worked very closely with Lior for more than 10 years on various deep tech R&D projects, they co-founded UltraWis together.

Mr. Ilan Pacholder, Chairman

Ilan has served as the Chairman of the Board for Ultrawis since 2021 and was involved in the incubit ventures investment committee during UltraWis' due diligence and incorporation in 2019. Mr. Pacholder brings with him an exceptional finance background, having previously served as the Executive Vice President for M&A Offset and Financing at Elbit Systems since 2001, in various capacities. Before joining Elbit Systems, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Sanyo Industries in New York and held the position of Vice President in the international and domestic loan departments of Bank Leumi's New York office. Mr. Pacholder holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics from Queens College in New York and an MBA in Finance and Investments from Adelphi University.

Mr. Netta Cohen, Board Member

Netta has been serving as a board member of Ultrawis since 2020, alongside his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Incubit Ventures. Mr. Cohen brings extensive executive experience with a proven history of leading innovation and entrepreneurship processes. He has served as a board member or chairman in a majority of Incubit's portfolio companies. Previously, he held the position of CEO at BGN Technologies Ltd, the Technology Company of Ben-Gurion University. Additionally, he has served as a Director of Pharma Israel, the Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies Association, Novartis Consumer Health, Gerber Baby Food Israel, and as a VP at Vitamed Pharmaceutical Industries. Mr. Cohen holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford, UK, and a B.A. in Economics & Management from Ruppin Academic Center.

Mr Nissim Berrebi, Board Member

Mr. Berrebi brings over 40 years of experience in the field of cranes. Even as a young man growing up in the USA, he had a passion for cranes in general and for tower cranes in particular. Upon returning to Israel, he was employed in the disassembly and assembly of tower cranes in several companies until in 1991 he initiated and established DNS Cranes Company. He was the first in Israel to introduce the concept of crane rental, which was considered innovative in the Israeli construction industry, which was entirely based on direct purchase of cranes by construction companies. Since then, Mr. Berrebi has managed DNS Cranes Company, which owns around 230 cranes and serving a leading Israeli construction companies. Mr. Berrebi, known for his entrepreneurial spirit, innovative vision, and business senses, was also the first to introduce the Luffer crane to Israel after a certification process he led at the Israeli Standards Institute for this type of crane. Mr. Berrebi established additional partnerships in the crane market in Western Europe, Singapore, and Romania, where he was involved in the construction of one of the country's largest malls, and since then has also entered the real estate field. In recent years, Mr. Berrebi has invested in several startups, the first of which is Ultrawis, in which he invested in 2021 and has since served as a director. Beyond his active role as a director, Mr. Barbi's many years of experience in the crane industry and his business capabilities contribute significantly to the company's advancement and product development.

Mr. Avi Mandler , Board Member

Mr. Mandler brings more than 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate ecosystem and currently serves as the executive chairman of an Israeli leading construction company “Etz Hashaked”.

Prior to “Etz Hashaked” incorporation, Avi completed his civil engineering studies at the Israeli Technion in 1990, and held various roles in the civil engineering world, from an engineer in the IDF, Project manager, Chief engineer, and CEO.

In 2006, Mr. Mandler founded “Etz Hashaked” with a unique vision: to combine business excellence, quality in construction, the best professionals, and placing people in the Center whether at the office or at the construction site.

Mr. Mandler is strategic investor and serving as a director at Ultrawis since 2023. Avi contributes from his extensive experience in the construction and business world to position Ultrawis as a leading global company in the digital construction site vision, based on digital processes, systems autonomy, and performance measurement for continuous improvement.
